The club had almost enjoyable picnic run on Sunday 25th June 2017. Twelve vehicles left Belturbet and travelled via Bawnboy and Aughawillan to Garadice Lake. The picnic took place at Kellys Angle at the back of Drumreilly Church.
After a leisurely break the motorcade moved on to Newtowngore and Drumeela and halted at Killegar church to visit the grave of the late Johny Golden. The beautiful church and its connections with Lord Kilbracken proved to be a most entertaining location for all concerned.
Denis Wright then decreed that an “ice cream” stop must take place in Killeshandra before heading back home.
The club is indebted to Garry Mc Guigan for laying out the route and leading the group safely on all those minor roads of Cavan and Leitrim and none got lost. Well done Garry.
